Goodies

After I put the kids down for a nap, and picked up the mornings messes, I turned the corner from the living room, and saw this:
HPIM1944
I was so excited by my little "station." This is my butcher block that Nate made for me a year or two ago. We have lived in small apartments with little to no counter space, and now that we live in a small house with little to no counter space, the butcher block is located next to the computer, and is my space. Let me tell you why it made me happy:

1. I love the picture frames I got so much that I have yet to fill them with actual pictures.
2. In the rectangle box is a Burke Williams spa massage just waiting for me to enjoy.
3. The almost empty bag of chocolate chips that get me though the day. The diet coke seems to be missing in this shot.
4. The fabulously pink flowers from Nate that I woke up to on my birthday this week.
5. My red bag that I can fit everything in and don't go anywhere without.
6. A yummy smelling candle.
7. My water bottle to make me feel guilty for the diet coke I popped open this morning.
8. The microwave, which I use to make quesadillas for the kids far too often.

I see fabulously big kitchens with granite counter tops that go on for miles, and though that seems to be the thing to want now days, I am perfectly content with my little butcher block station. For now, that is.

really, semi sweet? my little bag of chocolate chips that gets me through the day is milk chocolate all the way. it's almost dangerous. except for the fact that everyone is happier when i am stuffing my face with chocolate.
