Because I Love Her

This is a post to say that I love my baby girl.  When I was pregnant for the second time I said frequently that I didn't want a girl because I didn't want to deal with girl drama later on in her life.  I remember the drama that I was for my parents, and that I still am:)  and that just seemed like too much for me to deal with.  Well, I have my baby girl, and I love her.  I look at her multiple times a day and think "how could anyone NOT want a baby girl?"  I find it next to impossible to explain the love I have for my babies, which I think is a common difficulty amongst parents, or anyone for that matter who loves someone.  So, I will just say that I love her, and I can't wait for all of the fun girly things we will share.  I also know exactly what my mom means every time she says "I Love You" to her grown up baby girls.

Very sweet! I was just the opposite when I was pregnant with Ethan. I was hoping for a girl because that was all I grew up with - just sisters. With the age gap, I had dealt with baby, toddler and teenage girls (and everything in between). Now I can't imagine life without my little boy. Boys are so different and so fun. I still really want a little girl eventually, though. How lucky to have both!!

Oh Jeanine I'm so with you. I find out what I'm having in 3 weeks and I'm deathly afraid of the words, "it's a girl!" I'm glad to hear that your heart changed after you got to experience it...that gives me hope!
