I love Wednesday's because I take a Yoga class at church that Chelise teaches. She is a fabulous teacher and a total inspiration to get my pre-babies body back. When Chelise can't teach, she has me substitute, which I also love. I am waiting till Marley gets a bit older till I can get certified. So, with the clarity of mind that follows my Wed. Yoga class, and a big bowl of ice cream while the kids sleep (yes, they are BOTH asleep!!!) I thought I'd post a few update pics. Nothing exciting, just for journal sake.
I love these kids. They make me crazy, but it doesn't change the fact that I am completely in love with them, and thoroughly enjoy my days with them. Monotonous in nature as they may be, when I am patient enough to notice the little things, the days are actually quite entertaining. Marley is always wanting attention. When I am nursing her, she will just stop and stare at me until I look at her, and then she gives me the worlds biggest smile, and continues eating. She will do this the entire time she nurses. It drives me crazy when I'm in hurry, but it always cracks me up. Her and Beckham are finding ways to interact. Sometimes Beckham will play cars with her when she is in the excer-saucer (bouncer). He will sit next to (or on) her while a video is on. He is also known to try and ride her while she is on her tummy on the floor. This gets him time out, but it's pretty funny and I have to hold back my smile while Marley is screaming and Becks is being sent to his room. Marley is loving her rice cereal, trying to hold the bottle on her own, laughing all the time, rolling both ways, sleeping fairly well, and gets cuter and chubbier every day. She is so inter-active and is constantly grabbing for things and figuring out what she can stick in her mouth.
Beckham just got 4 new teeth this last week, and has had a rough go of it. He still never stops moving though. He had his hearing tested because of a few concerns, but his hearing is great, and we figure he's just a stubborn little guy. He is using more words, on his terms of course. He and Marley are sleeping in same room, and when I came in this morning to get them, they were talking to each other. He loves his sister, and is still a bit rough, but I figure it will be good for her in the end. He is still into his cars and trains, and reading books. We have been trying out PBS this month and he is a big fan of Sesame Street and Curious George. We always turn back to Disney at 8 for Little Einsteins. This morning though, he didn't want the T.V on at all. I tried turing it on 3 times to watch the news, and he turned it right off after me. Good boy. We'll see how long it lasts.

Jeanine, first of all, your 6 quirky things crack me up! Some I knew about you (yes, even from middle/high school) and some I didn't. But some sounds just like me! Jeez, I know I've said this before but where we really twins in another life??? Super fun to read!
And secondly, you and yoga. Being an exercise science girl, I knew you were into exercising but yoga does seem to be one of those things I'd picture you doing. Me? I've never been one that has patience for slow moving exercise. I've gotta either be running or at the gym lifting something heavy! Funny. but you and yoga seem to go hand in hand! Good luck on your cert soon! I bet you're a great instructor!!!
And thirdly, your kids sounds like kids! Boundless energy and tons of fun! I can tell that you're a great mom! :)
p.s. will you take pictures of your jogger stroller and post them for me? Sorry for the inconvenience but it's getting down to the wire and I need a good double jogger! Help!
I love the alternate uses Beckham has for the treadmill :)
I love it when Addison looks at me and smiles when I nurse too. It is so sweet and heart warming. Oh the precious moments.
Hey Jeanine, I saw a movie this weekend with Danielle Julander, and I can't tell you how big of an impact you had on her when you were teaching the young women, and she just glowed to see the picutres of you with the kids. I also have a question, what's a fun pose for yoga? I'm going tuesday and thursday nights and my teacher is really open to suggestions. Love ya.
I just want to let you know that we will be watching little einsteins at our house at 8 every morning too. So I will think of you!!!!!!!!!! That will be our moment of motherhood solidarity. Have I really still not met your little girl? And when did your toddler turn into a little boy? About the same time my baby turned into a toddler huh?
If I lived by you, I would definitely come to your yoga class...I need mre than a little help getting my pre-babies body back. I'm so embarassed, but a couple people have asked me if I'm pregnant again, it depresses me so much. But with Mason I didn't lose the weight until I was done nursing, my doctor said some unlucky women hold onto it.
Anyways, that was a tangent.
I loved this post because your description of your kids totally reminds me of my kids, Mason always sits on carter and has to go to timeout because of it, and Carter totally looks up at me while nursing.
I miss you tons!
