I have been searching for topics, events, moments, thoughts, etc that might be bolgworthy, but I am left with nothing. Our life hasn't been uneventful by any means, but I definatly feel a lack of creativity. Maybe this is steming from the fact that reading others blogs has made me realize that I am creative, but my outlets may differ from some of the usual. You know, toll painting, baking festive holiday treats, all those things that so many people dive into this time of year. I havn't a single holiday decoration in my apt. I have neither purchased or made holloween costumes for the family, and I have absolutly no desire to do any of the above. Now, I'm sure I sound like the grinch, but I feel no negative feelings what so ever. I love this time of year, I love looking at others decorations, eating others holiday treats, and applauding others creativity at the matching, homemade family costumes. I doubt I will have many comments on this post, because those within my blogging world all seem to be the creative type described above. And I'm glad, because I am getting my fill of holiday craft and cheer through my talented, crafty friends. So, thank you for sharing. This isn't a typical state for me, I have decorated and baked in previous years, and I'm sure I will in the future. Just not this year. Friday after nate gets home from work, we are going to Disneyland to see how they celebrate Holloween at the happiest place on earth, and to hit up nemo and some pirates. And, if it means anything, I have intentions to purchase a pumpkin scented candle today.
Happy almost friday everybody.

You crack me up!
Sometimes the holidays overwhelm me too to the point where I just want to enjoy everyone else's decorations and celebrating. And actually this year I probably would not have even gotten out my fall/halloween decor if it wasnt for Brynne wanting some ideas.
I think buying a pumpkin scented candle is the perfect way to get in the season/holiday spirit!
Hey, we're going to Disneyland for Halloween! That would sure be neat to get to see you and your cute family. I remember you being pretty crafty... you were the one who showed me about embossing. You were really good at it. But I also take breaks from the crafty stuff. I haven't decorated my house at all for Halloween (and I LOVE Halloween decorations), nor will I this year. Though I have put together/made some of the pirate costumes we're going to wear this year. I started them months ago so I wouldn't get overwhelmed at having to make them (that's how obsessed I am with Halloween!). As for Thanksgiving, I don't have any decorations yet. It takes time to collect things like this.
I haven't really gotten too into the holiday this year either. Although I did go and buy my pumpkin candle too! I go in phases with my crafty type things. Right now I'm more trying to get myself organized!
Oh my gosh pumpkin scented candles are the best!!!
You're funny Jeanine...I am by no means a crafty person. I like to copy other people. I have no idea what Easton will be for Halloween either, I'm too lazy to think about it.
I want to go to disneyland!!!
i have wanted to decorate, but i haven't wanted to make the effort. so we only have pumpkins. and i will definitely be purchasing plenty of halloween candy. THAT'S how you can celebrate!
ps-do people still toll paint?
Ditto. All I have is the Fall candle, and even with that I purchased the $3 one at Walmart. Not even the one in a cute jar. Maybe when we have more than one room to our house, right? With budgets and no closet space, I think our husbands appreciate our minimalist decor.
