PaperWhites

I just finished planting paperwhites for this winter.
I first learned about them from Nate's mom when we lived with them our first year of marriage.
They are a blub that is perfect for indoor planting to brighten up the winter months.
You can plant them in anything.
Really.
Check out this guide from BHG

How to Grow Paperwhites

I found a big bag of bulbs at Costco last week for $12.
It was enough for a few indoor jars, and about 15 to put outside in the flower bed.

I took a vase and a few mason jars I had in the cupboard.
You can put whatever pretty things you want in the container with them.
I decided to keep it simple. Some rocks from the yard.        (and I didn't want to go buy anything.)
I tied some twine around the jars to pretty them up.

I am looking forward to seeing a little bloom poke it's head out in a month or so.

Great idea! I'm going to Costco immediately so I can spruce up our house. Thanks, Jeanine! (And hello!)
