freedom

I bought a few new songs last week on i tunes to freshen up my mix.
They have pretty much been on repeat.
When I am in a funk,
I try and remember what I used to love.
You know, in my old life.
And music was something I loved.
So, it helps to go back to your happy places as often as you need to when little kids are loud and there is chaos all around.
I had to drive to Target yesterday and pick up some meds for Lincoln.
My ox was in the mire.
I drove Nate's truck since it was out on the street.
Did I mention I love to drive Nate's truck?
It's old, and bouncy and there is no "kid" stuff in there.
I associate it with freedom, and being young.
So I blasted my new favorite Matt Kearney song, and let the wind blow in my face, and bounced along to Target wishing it was further than 2 stop lights away.
If it weren't for a baby in pain, I would have taken the long way home.
I was definitely in a happy place.
