Sometimes great things happen.
Like yesterday for example.
It was 3rd hour at church and I was on Lincoln duty.
I put him in the car and figured I'd drive around and let him sleep for a few and be back to pick up the rest of the fam.
It was a great idea.
This is why:
On my drive I passed a garage sale. And shinning like a beacon, I saw her there.
I need a bike.
I don't have a bike and I really need a bike.
A shiny blue cruiser just like this one.
Just like the ones we looked at in the store,
but $20.
Like new.
Seriously folks.
I don't usually make purchases on the Sabbath, but it took about 5 seconds to justify this one.
They held it while I went to the ATM to get some cash.
Those beautiful handle bars were too much for the minivan,
so I went back to church and got the family.
Nate asked why the seats were folded down.
"I bought a bike and I couldn't fit it in the car so we need to go by and drop me off so I can ride it home."
His face was priceless.
We laughed.
And I rode my new bike home in a skirt.
Yes, I am sitting side saddle.
I am a lady after all.
