Storm Watchers

My parents called at 6:45 this morning asking me if my car was packed and ready to evacuate.
I had no idea what they were talking about.
After I got caught up, I let them know the car was packed.
But that we were fine.
We are up high enough that we wouldn't get wet.
I keep a go box in the car.
Clothes, shoes, water, diapers, formula, etc.
Just in case.
It's earthquake country here and we are ALWAYS hearing about being prepared.
We try to keep the cars above half.
And a list of what we need to add to our home incase of such an emergency.
There is a lot.
One thing at a time.

Since there was no immediate threat,
I grabbed the kids and the camera and we drove to Point Fermin, just a few min. away.
Nothing but an amazing view.
We stayed for 20 min., when the initial surge was to come.
Saw some white caps, but nothing outrageous.

My prayers go out to those suffering,
but for us,
it's another sunny day.
