Circus

Some days it feels like the circus animals escaped around here.
I wonder if more space in between walls would make a difference.
Not an option though.
Marley is as loud as ever.
Lincoln is biting and pulling and ripping and dumping everything he can get his hands/mouth on.
Beckham is diligently being a 4 year old boy.
He is constantly being reminded by us to pronounce his letters and words correctly.
I applaud his patience.
There are not walls thick enough to contain Marley's scream.
There is not patience enough to contain my boiling blood.
It is two hens trying to rule the roost.
What she doesn't get is that I win.
I already won,
It was never a contest.
But she will battle on.
It's in our nature.

And then sweet Beckham says a perfectly coherent, perfectly sweet prayer the other night before bed.

"Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for Mommy and Daddy and Marley and Lincoln.
Thank you that I could pick up all my toys in the living room and the bedroom.
Bless that I can go to my friends house everyday.
Bless that Marley and me can keep our pants dry and go pee in the potty.
In Jesus Name,
Amen."

And Nate and I can't help but smile at each other while he is uttering these simple statements.

I am grateful that the circus came to my house.

Your house sounds like my house. if only we weren't so many states away and we could get them together. :) Your kids are all so cute. I love the tub picture! I know how hard it is (at least at our house) to get all three kids to smile and look at the same time, so I definitely appreciate that you did it. :)
