Greetings from...

After a RIDICULOUS 9 hour delay at LAX,
our plane touched down in Medford around 1 a.m.
My dear sister came to get us and even drove to 4 different stores to find someplace that was open that late to buy diapers for the baby.
We were supposed to land at 5:30.
Plenty of time to run to Target and get diapers and baby food for our stay.
The extras I did bring were used up during our 9 hour stay at the airport.
All we got were lousy food vouchers for the inconvenience,
and we had already eaten.
Nice.
I still used them up.
I had to stick it to the powers that be.
When living in a place that is on average a sunny 70 degrees,
I forget that other places actually have weather this time of year.
Thanks Montana for ruining our day.

On the other hand,
the kids did AMAZINGLY well all things considered.

No matter how many times I fly,
there comes that rough patch mid flight
that gets me thinking about my mortality.

"If this plane goes down now..."

I won't bore you with my prepared inner monologue should I go down in a plane.

I will just say that I am grateful we got here safe and have happily immersed ourselves in family and food.

Nate and I went running at 5 a.m in the cold this morning.
5 miles.  I felt every step.
I haven't run more than 3 miles since Lincoln was born.
We are running an 8 mile Turkey Trot on Thursday.
I am already sore.
Family pictures and Harry Potter are on the agenda for today.
