If you are like me,
you cringed when the toning shoe caught on.
They look ridiculous.
Serious fashion no-no.
Even for athletic gear.
Enter New Balance Rock&Tone.
About 4 months ago, I had some knee pain, and realized it was time for new kicks.
I read an article in Competitor mag. about this new balance/toning shoe craze,
and the theory behind the engineering of the shoe.
Turns out it is a pretty effective way to train your little legs.
I chose New Balance Rock&Tone,
because of the name,
but mostly because they are the LEAST ridiculous looking of the bunch.
In my opinion.
When I first slid my foot into one, the angels sang.
seriously, like walking on clouds.
I found they look only 30% nurses shoe, and 70% retro sneaker.
At least that's what I had to tell myself before I could commit.
Now, the Rock and Tone is NOT a running shoe,
but I run in it.
Just a few miles on the treadmill.
Mostly walking though.
I would not make them my training shoes.
I wear them out and about,
and I love them.
More companies are making a better looking balance shoe now,for example, Reebok EasyTone.
In all seriousness, the balance/toning shoe alone will NOT make your butt look like this, unless you are all already serious athlete, not eating any icecream or bread, or you have really incredible genes.
Although how AWESOME would it be if it did???
Bonus, the other day,
with no prompting from me,
Nate said that my butt looked more "lifted."
Coincidence?

I keep looking at these ads and thinking they sound great - but again agree with you on the style part! I'm really considering getting a pair though.
"Lifted".......
Did that line really work??????????
What a compliment :)
I have the Reebok Easy Tone and I love them! I can wear them all day long and have no foot pain!
