Today I am 26 weeks. ONLY 26 weeks. I feel like I have been pregnant for ages. I realized I have not posted one pregnant belly picture with this one. I believe it is because this one is a boy. I knew right from the beginning it was a boy.
When I was pregnant with Marley a woman told me of when she was pregnant and someone came up to her and said "you're having a boy, right?" She replied, "Yes, how did you know?" The woman answered back, "because with girls, you still look pretty during pregnancy, but with boys, that's not the case."
Awesome huh?
I believe it is true. In my case at least.
With Beckham I gained a whopping 50 lbs and felt like a moose, and ate like a moose and well, it just wasn't a pretty sight.
With Marley, I only gained 30 lbs, and didn't feel quite as moose like, I felt like my belly was actually one of those cute pregnant bellies that looked great in maternity clothes.
With number 3, I felt like a moose from the beginning. Eating like a moose, not a cute belly, really wide, etc. You get the picture, and It's not such a pretty picture.
So, for the sake of my self esteem. I will leave the judgements up to those whom I have to see around town and keep it local. I would rather the inter-world not be exposed to my moose like state at this point in time. I'm sure for journaling sake, I will post a few towards the end.
But the end is a long ways away...
Like I said, ONLY 26 weeks.

I'm so different, with Kennady my whole body was pregnant, my thighs grew out of my pants by the time I was 3 months, I wore XL maternity clothes and gained 70 lbs. With Shane I was only belly, I wore S and M maternity and gained 40 lbs. Strangers would always tell me that girls, 'Steal their mother's beauty' which totally described me. So you just threw a fork in my whole theory :) PS, you look great!

I haven't noticed a huge difference between my boy and girl pregnancies, except that the girls seem to make me sicker longer...I suppose that might make me gain less weight, but not that I have noticed. Don't know what this one is though...

Okay, you just made my day. Maybe not really what you wanted to hear, but I have felt like a complete moose (what a great descriptive term you used--perfect!) with all 3 pregnancies. You have given me hope that maybe, if I ever get lucky enough to have a girl, I won't be absolutely miserable the whole time. Of course, just knowing a girl was finally on the way would go a long way towards helping with that!
