Every time Nate or I have to go to the market, or we talk about what we need to get at the store, this is repeated aloud "a loaf of bread, container of milk, stick of butter." I hope you all know where this gem comes from. It's a classic. I went to make cookies tonight to send to the office with Nate in the morning but I was out of shortening. It reminded me of this and I thought I'd post the original for you all to enjoy. Scroll down to the music player on the right and hit pause so you can hear the video.

I've done the same thing. I saw this episode when my youngest sister was still a toddler and loved Sesame Street... we thought it was so funny, we've repeated the phrase often to this day. It is SO fun to see this again :)
Only problem is I can't really hear it to show it to my girls because your background music overrides it.
You crack me up! I totally loved that episode and can see it in my head, awesome that you found the clip!
Have you ever seen the ad on PBS where the mom is having the boy making a list for her grocery shopping and she says "bread, rice and milk". Ellie always repeats these to me in the grocery store!
Wow, I haven't seen that in ages!!
