Fingers Crossed

I am sitting on the couch with the lap top, a Diet Coke, and 27 Dresses is playing in the DVD player. Kids are sleeping. Absolutely fabulous. My tongue is burnt from the piece of tilapia I nuked to long in the microwave. I am daydreaming about the house that may soon be ours. The offer has been accepted, the ball is rolling. Inspections, appraisals, financing, and picking paint colors...the BEST part.
Cup of Cocoa in the bathroom.
Crisp Celery in the kid's room. How fun does that sound?
Southern Breeze in the living room/kitchen.
Pebble Path in my room. I mean our room.
I can't wait to have a washer and dryer.
I don't want to have to pay for a washer and dryer.
Do we have money for all of this???
I'm really going to have to start cooking more to save money.
Will there be a good babysitter in the ward?
I have so much to do.
My Diet Coke is gone and the fridge is so far away.
I really am SO EXCITED to paint MY VERY OWN WALLS.

Where is this cute new place at?! Painting is the best! And probably the only thing I'm good at doing as far as home improvement. Fingers are crossed for you!

How exciting! I'm especially envious of the picking paint colors... our white walls are getting pretty drab. And how fun to no longer be renters! Fingers are crossed for you, even though I'm jealous! :)

Buying our first house, as I recall, was also the first time I puked blood. It's exciting, but get the giant sized Tums bottle at Costco. And "crisp celery" in the kids room will look a little wilted in a few years. Good Luck!

Congrats on the new house. Being a home owner is the best. You don't realize you can afford it until you actually move in and get settled. It can be stressful at times, but you just learn to cut back the things you really don't need.
