We drove down to stay with Nate's family Christmas Eve night and stayed till Sunday evening.  The kids had a blast Christmas morning, and as always, Nana and Papa D took very good care of them, and us.   There was a plethora of goodies and my favorite was the butter toffee, of which I ate most of myself.  Nate and I got a 10 mile run in on Friday so we will be ready for the Half Marathon next week.   We hit the after Christmas sales and got a few great deals.  Anne, Darrell and Uncle Chase watched the kids so Nate and I could see a movie.  We saw Frost Nixon and really enjoyed it.  It was a fabulous Christmas and now we are back home taking down the tree and making room for the new toys.  I made a special effort this Christmas season to take in every moment of it and enjoy it.  I listened to Christmas music every day since Thanksgiving, read Christmas stories, looked at Christmas lights, watched Christmas movies, went to Christmas parties, and I loved every second of it.  I felt my testimony of my Savior grow, my testimony of  Heavenly Fathers Plan of Salvation grow, and most of all, I enjoyed these experiences with my family.  To read the Christmas story again, and Mary's experiences touched me so deeply.  To be a mother and know a small, small part of what she lived that night, and of what she would go through later on is humbling and intense.  I will try to keep these feelings with me throughout this next year, and share them with my family and those around me.  That being said, I could not be more happy to put the Christmas music away till next year.  I'm a little burnt out.  Peace out and Happy New Year!!!
