2 weeks of fun

We spent the last 2 weeks with my family and had a blast.  We were able to talk my dad into spending his summer vacation in the den of iniquity that is Southern California.  We spent a day at Disneyland and California Adventure, a day at Griffeth Park Observatory and the California Science Museum, and a day on Catalina Island.  We played on the beach and ate some good Armenian food up in Pasadena.  Monday morning when they were leaving to drive north to Yosemite and camp with my sister's family, I decided at the last minute to take the kids and camp with them.  Nate had to stay for work, so I thought myself brave for attempting it without him. They did really well for their first camping trip.  I could not have done it without the my family helping.  It was me and both kiddos in a 2                          man tent, and believe it or not, we all slept through the night.  We camped at Bass lake and had fun playing in the water, and we loved driving through Yosemite and enjoyed the beautiful sites.  The best part was just being able to spend time with family and have Beckham and Marley get to know their Grandma, Grandpa, Uncles, Aunt and cousins better.  My mom told me that my dad thanked her for "dragging him kicking and screaming" because he had a really fun time, Disneyland and all.  We better start planning next years vacation.  Cruise anybody?
