It's after midnight and I was lying in bed with heartburn from the 11 p.m Carl's Jr. run that Nate made after he got home from class tonight. Bad move Jeanine. When will I learn that a) heartburn stinks, and b) I will never lose this baby weight if I'm eating Carl's Jr. at 11 p.m. Very frustrating. So, I'm going to update the blog with some kid news for journal sake.
Beckham is having full conversations in jibberish. The words we can actually understand are:
-bite, daddy, bye bye, hi, drink, duck, grape, toon, milk, car, poop, up, thank you, shoe, papa D, dog, tree
There may be a few more, and the ones he does say, well, it is like pulling teeth to get him to use them sometimes. He knows that if he throws a tantrum for long enough at the right time of day, that mom is so tired she will give in and he doesn't have to use words. He is very good at comprehension. We started working on our alphabet using a website called starfall.com which Beckham loves because he gets to sit at the computer with mom. He has more energy then anyone knows what to do with and is very sweet with Marley most of the time. He tries to steal her nuk when he thinks i'm not looking. Like in the picture. He loves playing with his friends and wrestles with them whenever he gets the chance, weather they want to or not. He loves playing with his cars and trucks and lines them up on the kitchen table all day. He moves from chair to chair and drives them all over the table.
Marley is going on 7 weeks now, and it feels like she's been here forever. She eats like a champ and is filling out quite nicely. She can go 5 or 6 hours of sleep at night and then again for another 4 before she eats again. She wakes us up in the morning by cooing in the crib at the foot of our bed. She is talking a lot and is very quick to smile and interact with you. She is such a calm and happy baby which has been a blessing for us since Beckham was the opposite, and still keeps us running in circles.

And by the way, AWESOME pictures of Beckham's namesake. I've always thought 'Becks' had a kind of high speaking voice, but gosh darn if he isn't in amazing shape! wiping slivia off
I think she is starting to look a bit like Bex. Too cute! I am truly hoping that we both had our challenging babies first and that the second one is a walk in the park. I can't take another freaking crazy boy. I will send him back. I understand the sleepless thing going on. It aint fun man.
Fun to read about the kiddos! And about your Carl's Jr meal at 11pm.....Jeanine, I'm shocked! :) just joking but you've got it right how Carl's Jr. and losing weight do not mix. Good luck. I'm not looking forward to having to do that post-baby again. Oh well!

oh man, marley looks just like you! she gets cuter with every picture you post! i hear ya on the baby weight issue, but ooohh it's great to indulge every now and then! (i should know, i gain a zillion pounds when i'm pregnant and my "every now and then" is actually about every other day!)
